Michelle Rubano has been teaching High School English for 8 years and earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from The College of New Jersey in 2009. Having taught in the vocational and traditional setting, Michelle has presented professional development workshops in the areas of writing and student engagement. She is currently teaching at Delran High School and has been collaborating with her science colleagues to develop writing instruction in the sciences. Her involvement in the Writing Alliance stemmed from a desire to network with passionate educators looking to constantly transform instruction in the areas of reading and writing.

Contact Olga Polites Olga Polites teaches English in the Lenape Regional High School District, and College Composition at Rowan University. For the last 20 years she has had articles published in English Journal, Newsweek, and The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Contact Laurie Hunter
Laurie Hunter has been an English teacher in the Freehold Regional High School District for over 20 years, serving on multiple curriculum, mentoring, and professional development programs over her tenure at Howell High School. She received her Master of Arts from Trenton State College in 1997 and teaches college-level English Composition and Short Story courses through Brookdale Community College's dual-enrollment program.

Amy Woodworth is the Coordinator of First-Year Writing at Rowan University. She has taught college-level writing for 11 years at Rowan University, Temple University, and Rutgers University at Newark, as well as courses in American Studies, Women's Studies, and Film. Her interests include basic writing, writing in the disciplines, genres and knowledge transfer, gender, and film adaptation, and she currently chairs the high school outreach committee at Rowan.
Marie Haughton Flocco is a Lecturer of Writing Arts at Rowan University. She has been teaching college-level writing and public speaking since 2001. Marie also teaches Service and Leadership Training courses in Rowan’s Bantivoglio Honors College. Her interests include first year experience/high school to college transition as well as composition pedagogy for college students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Webtender: Jude Miller
Contact Jude Miller Jude Miller holds a faculty position in Rowan University's Writing Arts Department, where he is the Course Coordinator for CCII, which is the First-Year Writing Program’s research-based persuasive writing course. Since 2007 he has been teaching and tutoring college and pre-college-level composition, literature, linguistics, and film at a variety of institutions, including Rowan University, Rutgers University, The University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Drexel University, and Camden County College.

Kristie-Anne Opaleski-DiMeo has been teaching high school English in the Jackson School District from 2001 to present, received her Master of Arts in English from The College of New Jersey in 2006, became an adjunct professor at Monmouth University in 2008 and an instructional coach for Jackson Liberty High School in 2014. She has published a strategy guide for the National Council Teachers of English (2014) and has presented at state and national conferences on writing and reading strategies to aid in the transition between high school and college.
